YESYESYES. well i must say that this camera is the best camera i've had yet. Canon PowerShot SD790IS 10MP takes VERY clear pictures, and has many many cool features! you MUST love this camera. its BOMMBB.
My Canon Experience. I purposely waited 6 months after purchasing this camera so I could properly review it. This is my third digital camera. My first was an early Canon which I was very happy with. I updated Canon PowerShot SD790IS 10MP then with the Kodak V550 and unfortunately in the future I'm afraid all of my digital camera purchases will be measured against it. I LOVED the Kodak V550 and only sought out a new camera when Canon PowerShot SD790IS 10MP died after years of being overworked. Ok, back on task here.
I researched heavily before purchasing the SD790. My purpose was to find the best price for decent quality photos in a camera that would fit in my purse or pocket. My main objects of photography are family and travel.
Pros: There were several cameras of which I decided to take a closer look. Ultimately, and I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, I decided on this particular model because of it's looks. Canon PowerShot SD790IS 10MP is beautiful and sleek just as the V550 was. I prefer the square lines and simplicity of the buttons over ugly dial knobs and rounded corners. I have been happy with the quality of the photos and video. I'm sorry to say that I've not ever installed the software so am not qualified to comment on it. I use another photo software. I love the large viewing area. I ordered an extra battery but so far have not had to use it. The battery life is very good.
Cons: No viewfinder. I don't like not having one. I rarely used Canon PowerShot SD790IS 10MP before so thought I could do without Canon PowerShot SD790IS 10MP but when you need it, you need it. I also don't like having to remove the battery and place Canon PowerShot SD790IS 10MP in a separate charger. This may be common place but both of my previous cameras were chargable without removing the battery. This is my biggest dislike which has nothing to do with quality but convenience. Compared to my Kodak, the menu is harder to figure out but with more use I'm sure I'll get used to it.
I can happily recommend this camera. I'd give Canon PowerShot SD790IS 10MP a 5* on looks alone but the little things I don't like about Canon PowerShot SD790IS 10MP keep me from doing so.
