I bought this camera after reading all the positive reviews. However, my experience has not been positive.
First of all, Canon should have given at least a 2 GB memory card with this expensive camera, or let the buyer know that they need to buy a larger memory card. What they gave was good only for 6 photos & that was a surprise to me. I bought a 2 GB memory card and used it for 2 weeks. The camera quit working during my vaction, much to my disappointment. The lens did not extend or open. I sent the camera to Canon and they fixed it for me & gave me no explanation as to why it quit working. I talked to their support staff who couldn't give me a reason either.
I'm giving it 2 stars since the photos that I took on auto mode were of very good quality.

I've had the Canon G10 for just over a month and really enjoy it. It's well built, has a great lens, and produces great images at low to medium ISO settings, up to 400. The controls are very tactile and work well. The screen is bright and has excellent resolution. The menu system is very clear and logical. I've been very impressed with the images I've shot so far and would recommend this camera without hesitation. The only issues I've had are with noise at high ISO's, but I rarely attempt to shoot under conditions where I'd need them. At lower ISO's the images are beautiful.
Canon PowerShot SD960IS Silver
I've been using the new Canon SD 780 for about a week now, and I like it. I've been a Canon point-and-shoot fan for some time. In my opinion Canon has the best optics. I have a Canon G10 for higher-end photography and although it is a compact camera, it is not quite a pocket camera. I wanted something I could easily keep in my shirt pocket all the time and the SD 780 fits the bill perfectly. I find that I shoot a lot less if I don't have a really compact camera available. The SD 780 is Canon's smallest camera to date.
It's easy to use and the Canon layout is excellent. The buttons are small and it may take a day or two to get used to them, especially if you have big hands. The HD video is really great and noticeably better quality than the 640 x 480 mode of my G10. My quibbles are few:
-- 3.2 maximum aperture instead of the usual 2.8
-- No optical zoom in the movie mode.
-- Grainy images at ISO of 400 and higher. This is a problem with most point-and shoot cameras, even my G10.
Overall, considering the very small size, it's a great camera.
Canon PowerShot SD780IS Gold
Small & Versatile. Amazing versatility in a small, lightweight camera. Uses only 2 AA batteries; we had been accustomed to needing 4. User manual is a PDF file. You'll need to purchase a larger capacity memory card, as we found out on Thanksgiving day. I like Canon PowerShot A470 Orange .
my handy canon. I recently received my camera and haven't used Canon PowerShot A470 Orange that much but plan to this weekend. So far it's very easy to use but still need to read instructions for all details. I'm a senior citizen so don't like anything with too much attention needed, just shoot and see.
The price is very good, my son bought one so thats why I got the same incase I need help.
Thanks
Irene
Perfect Gift for my Girlfriend. Bought Canon PowerShot A470 Orange for my girlfriend for Christmas, she loves it. It's easy to use and takes great pictures. Also the battery life seems to be well above average. Definitely recommend Canon PowerShot A470 Orange to all the guys out there looking for a gift for their special someone.

met my expectations and more. I owned an early canon digital and was interested in updating. After doing a lot of research, I settled on another canon. I was looking for wide angle, image stabilization and shooting speed. The SD880 did Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Pink all as well as provide a wonderful viewfinder. So far, after a month, I totally satisfied with the camera.
Great Camera. Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP Digital Camera with 4x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Silver)
Great pictures, bright lens, easy to use.
Love it I enjoy Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Pink .
AS ALWAYS WITH SD CANON MODELS VERY GOOD. Canon SD models have a very high quality photo for the amount you pay for them. I have had two models before Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Pink one and have had no problems with either, the SD 800 IS and the SD 850 IS. I expect the same from Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Pink model. So far I am impressed by the photos I have very good results. I like to carry the model SD 880 with me most of the time for unexpected shots. I carry my 50D or D300 for the expected shots, The SD880 so far has met my expectations and will be in my car most of the time.
I highly recommend the 880 to beginners or anyone else.

Great Camera!. I am very happy with this camera - I do not have a lot of uber camera knowledge and really just use a 'point and shoot' camera. But for the price this camera really does Canon PowerShot A2100IS all - the video is awesome and easy to use - clear, great picture and being able to use the 20X optical zoom (which you cannot hear at all when used!) is a huge plus. Also, for someone like me (not a camera expert) the macros are easy to use and the picture quality is great. For the price you can't beat this camera.
As close to professional as you can get. . I bought Canon PowerShot A2100IS camera to take photos of some collectible items for a magazine. The camera is simple enough to figure out straight out of the box, but has numerous features that make Canon PowerShot A2100IS camera great for most situations.
I don recommend that you read the book to get a better understanding of the uses and you will need to buy a stronger flash if you plan on taking photos that require the camera lighting from more than 20feet away.
not a good choice. I have had this camera for a couple of weeks. I wish I could sent Canon PowerShot A2100IS back. I don't like the swingout LCD. Canon PowerShot A2100IS is always in the way. (even on a tripod.) And you can't see through the viewfinder very well. AND Canon PowerShot A2100IS eats batteries faster than anything. I had a Nikon D40, and have a Kodak Easy Share 712 and NEITHER ate so much power. I am taking pictures for a wedding and I don't want to change batteries every 75 or so pictures. (these are rechargable).
This camera has more settings than even the Nikon D40.
Just not happy with it. That swinging LCD is trouble.

Great top of the line point and shoot.. I recently bought this camera after fighting with the decision to go with a Sony Cybershot DSC-H10 8.1MP or go up in size and get the Canon Powershot SX10IS 10MP. I chose to stick to a smaller size camera so I would take Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver with me most places instead of leaving the bigger camera at home. So even though I love all the features of the Canon Powershot SX10IS 10MP it's just too big for me right now.
First I would like to point out that this is a point and shoot camera, designed for everyday pictures and some advanced shots if you have the know how. We would all love to get the hand held digital camera that can take stunning SLR pictures but unfortunately that still doesn't exist. This camera with the right equipment and experience can come close though.
I have to disagree with those that are saying the battery life is short. I have had very good battery runs, including the batteries that were supplied with the camera. So far this has been one of the best point and shoot cameras I have ever used. Here are my run downs:
Pro:
-Great image quality, I mean really superb. Can go to ISO 400 and still be a good enough to print pictures. After that your going to need some clean up with an editing software or "noise" will be too prevalent.
-Fast response time from power up to shot. In between shots Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver depends on what level flash you use, the brighter the flash the longer Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver will take to recharge the flash. This problem, however, is in just about all cameras of this caliber. Even the sony and canon SX10 would take 5-7 seconds to recharge after a full flash was used. I have a sony alpha and that flash drains sometimes takes 4 or more seconds to catch up.
-Great LCD. I have Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver at half brightness and it's more than enough in almost any situation.
-Easy to learn operation, don't believe me, just set Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver to easy and it'll do all the work and be right most of the time.
-Nice solid feel to it.
-Prints have been excellent and full of color.
Cons:
-I wish the f/stop would go below 2.8. That's just me maybe.
-Even though I know the flash will take a few seconds to recharge, I wish someone could come up with a way to make that faster. Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver would save some missed pictures.
All in all it's a great camera. Easy to use and not so bulky that you won't take Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver with you everywhere. I carry mine in belt pouch and have been lucky I had Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver for some great pictures, that yes would have looked slightly better with my dslr, but I wouldn't have gotten them at all if I didn't carry my dslr with me.
Highly recommend Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver and am probably going to get one for my wife so she'll stop taking mine.
The best in it's price range.. Amazing quality. The 10X optical zoom is super and along with the image stabilization the picture comes out perfect. Can't wait to really try Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver out when I go boating and can take some nature pictures.
Don't really need 9mp. I turn Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver way down and still have to shrink the pictures to Email them. Guess if I turn pro I'll get some use out of it.
canon powershot sx110is. When we purchased this canon power shot we had done so after shopping Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver and checking out reviews on line. We found that the 9 mp and 10 x zoom was more powerful than the camera we had and were replacing. well we have used Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver now and Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver is wonderful. the pictures are crisp, clear, vibrant colors. the zoom is more powerful than we thought Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Silver would be. the only thing that is an issue is when using the flash to take pictures of our bird, the flashing that happens before the picture is taken hurts their eyes and they run to fly back to their cages.
But over all we love it

Good !. Overall okay.
Good things:
- Fully manual controls.
- 20x zoom (560mm).
- Macro!.
- Swivel Screen.
- DIGIC 4.
Bad things
- The large amount of noise even at low ISOs.
- The low brightness lens needs a lot light.
- Many chromatic aberrations. I love Canon PowerShot SD1200IS .
Very nice all around camera. I have been carrying around two cameras since each one had its strengths and wanted to be down to one camera that did Canon PowerShot SD1200IS all. After careful study I picked up the SX10 IS and can't be more happy. Canon PowerShot SD1200IS is fast and has image stabilization so Canon PowerShot SD1200IS can replace my Canon A710 IS in most cases, unless small camera size is important. Canon PowerShot SD1200IS is 10MP,has a 20X zoom, fast flash recycle times and a nice sunset mode, so Canon PowerShot SD1200IS replaces my older Nikon Coolpix 8700 and exceeds its specs. Last evening I went to a concert and by setting the ISO3200 Scene mode I was able to get usable photos without flash from the back of the room at full zoom. Yes, the colors were sometimes washed out and the size was down to 1600x1200, but faces came out well and the photos looked fairly good. This camera keeps surprising me and I am very happy to have it.
i like it. I couldn't wait to get my new canon Powershot Sx10is, This is my first camera like this and I am having fun alot of the pics are turning out good, I still need to play more and learn some of the other setting. Iam having some troubles with night shots turning out blurry. went on vacation to the beach and those pics turned out the best. I love Canon PowerShot SD1200IS and like I said I need to play with Canon PowerShot SD1200IS more to learn all the other settings.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed at best. I was torn between buying this Canon powershot SD1100IS or a Nikon Coolpix S550. After looking at reviews on several sites I went with the Canon because Canon PowerShot A1100IS had really good reviews and the Nikon did not.
I got home with the Canon and knew the first 5 minutes that I HATED it! I couldn't get a decent picture. Everything looked grainy or blurry and my children's skin tone kept coming up extremely orange and unnatural. I was pretty upset. But I tried to give Canon PowerShot A1100IS the benefit of the doubt, I read the owners manual and played around with the setting for about an hour and a half. After all that 99% of the pictures I took were still awful! And the other 1% were just so so.
I was EXTREMELY disappointed by this camera. You shouldn't have to try so hard to get even one somewhat decent picture. I took the camera back after 2 hours and got a refund and bought the Nikon I had wanted. The Nikon takes 1000x's better pictures and I wish I'd just gone with Canon PowerShot A1100IS in the first place!
Great Little Camera. This camera fits in my purse and I use Canon PowerShot A1100IS everywhere. The pictures are of good quality and the zoom is very good for such a small camera. Perfect camera for on the go and spur of the moment.
Fantastic!. I'm thrilled to be using a Canon point-and-shoot again. The settings are easy to access and utilize and the quality of the photos is fantastic. I was able to pick the camera up and use all of the functions without referencing the manual; everything is laid out very user-friendly. The quality of the photos is great, the size of the camera is great, the price is great...I'd recommend Canon PowerShot A1100IS point-and-shoot to anyone!

My Canon PS 1100IS. I love Canon A480 10 MP Black camera! I can be over whelming at times but a couple of extra minutes and exploring and you can figure many of its awesome features. There is so much Canon A480 10 MP Black camera offers that you can edit and send straight to printer. Canon A480 10 MP Black is even easier since I have a Canon Pixma IP4500 that allows direct connection with the camera through pictbridge feature. All these features and so much more packed into a nice compact package.
Great tiny little camera. I got this camera a little over a month ago. I still have a lot to learn. I like to try and play around with buttons and features before reading the manual. I still haven't read a lot of the manual so this is just from experience.
Cannons are excellent cameras. The only reason i decided to replace my older cannon was because I am getting married, going to Hawaii and I wanted something a little newer/better for the trip of a lifetime.
My old cannon still works fine and i plan on keeping Canon A480 10 MP Black as a backup.
Ok- on to my review.
Battery life is excellent. I had the camera for over a month, used Canon A480 10 MP Black a lot (especially playing around with the new features) and finally just had to charge the battery. I bought a spare battery so i never missed a shot.
The flash is great- I seem to always have red eyes in every photo when a flash is used - this one is one of the better red eye reductions. I only had red eyes in about half the shots (which for me is great)
There are a ton of different options as to how you can take your photo, (indoor, outdoor, beach, sunrise, color swap, fireworks, pets, kids etc etc) I thought this was neat, but according to my friend who is an artist, this is just a gag they use to sell more features. If you put your camera on "auto" Canon A480 10 MP Black does all of the same things.
I haven't experimented enough to say if this is true or not.
I love the size of the screen - its definitely larger viewing then my old cannon however Canon A480 10 MP Black still has a viewfinder - which i find important when owning a camera - sometimes in the dark, using the big screen is useless, you can't see anything on it, or sometimes when you ask other people to take a picture of you - they are not used to using a digital camera yet- this allows them to use the viewfinder like a regular camera and take a decent photo. Also if you god-forbid drop your camera on vacation and the screen breaks, you have a back up till you get home (i've seen this happen to people)
Transferring photos to my iphoto program in my mac is really simple, just plug in and Canon A480 10 MP Black goes!
I have only played around with the video function a bit. I think Canon A480 10 MP Black seems fine. If i wanted to take really nice videos i would use a video camera, but for an on the spot use- this is a great little video camera too!
Thats all i can think of for now.
Cannons never disappoint in my experience!
Canon SD 1100 with Selphy Printer. I only wanted a Canon SD 1100 but when the offer came with a printer, I grabbed it. I got Canon A480 10 MP Black cheaper than the market price. I'm happy to have it. I do encouraged everyone to buy it. It's cool. I like it.

Canon Powershot 8MP. Good choice for gift to a casual user. We wanted to buy a DSLR but the prices are still too high. We have seen pictures from another Canon 8MP and they were great. Canon A480 10 MP Silver camera will do until the person we gave the camera to is ready to upgrade to a DSLR. I do wish the zoom were better (ie; 10X or above) - but for the price....
Good bang for your buck . i had a powershot A75, that i dropped too many times and now Canon A480 10 MP Silver does'nt work. That is why i got the A590IS. Although the new camera has more megapixals and 1x more optical zoom, the picture quality is very similiar. For the money, i don't think you can get a better camera. However, my computer won't download the pictures from this camera just yet. I've tried everything except reading the manual, so today i will do just that. i only gave this 4 stars becouse there are better cameras out there, but this camera is best in it's class I would say.
nice product. camera is simple, but has plenty of options for more advanced users. takes really nice pictures on auto mode, and doesn't eat up batteries as fast as i thought Canon A480 10 MP Silver would. is a little bulky (awkward to carry around in your pocket), but otherwise perfect. nice price too

My six year old daughter's camera. My six year old daughter uses this camera and so far so good! Straight forward for her and feels very sturdy in her hands. Canon A480 10 MP Camera Navy Blue has a nice size LCD screen. So far we've been very happy with it. As with any digital camera, the flash isn't adaquate for an extended distance.
it's a basic camera.... i usually love canon cameras, but this camera i was not very happy with. i have no problem with the pictures coming out good. the color comes out very nice. the problem i have with Canon A480 10 MP Camera Navy Blue is the time that Canon A480 10 MP Camera Navy Blue takes to take one picture and then take another. if your batteries are not fully charged, the wait time to take another pic could be up to 10 seconds. the zoom can be blurry at times too. it's a good basic camera for someone who takes photos every now and then. but if it's for trips and you want to capture alot of moments, you're gonna miss out on alot by waiting for the batteries to charge up again to take the next pic...
camera review. operates as expected. small and point and shoot, reasonable flash recharge, and repeat action is accepatble. I love Canon A480 10 MP Camera Navy Blue .

Fantastic Camera. I purchased the Canon Rebel XS a few weeks ago and I love it. I have a problem with "shaky hands" and the Image Stabilization helps me immensly. I also purchased the 250mm IS lens along with the 50mm 1:1.8 lens. The 50mm does not have IS but I love Canon PowerShot SD970IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera Silver lens. I recently did some photos of children and Canon PowerShot SD970IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera Silver lens really did the job, they were great! I highly recommend Canon PowerShot SD970IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera Silver Canon as well as the lenses.
Great Camera for the Beginning Photographer. I am a beginner in the world of photography beyond the point and shoot camera. I chose this camera for the great features Canon PowerShot SD970IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera Silver has, the price, and the size. I have small hands and Canon PowerShot SD970IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera Silver is perfect for me. I would recommend this camera to anyone beginner or more advanced.
Canon Rebel XS. I have only had the camera about a week. However, the controls are easy to use. The camera is well built. Canon PowerShot SD970IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera Silver is easy to handle. One major disappointment is the live view option. One should be forewarned that taking pictures through live view slows the camera action greatly. This makes taking pictures through the live view impractical. For this reason, I would have liked the viewfinder to be slightly larger. Overall, I like the camera. Canon Battery Charger Pack. I bought Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery item for $40 online and then found out my Canon Camera didnt need a Cannon brand charger and I could have bought one for $10 instead. In total I spent for Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery charger which included the shipping and handling. Not worth it. Go to another store and by one for $10
Definitively a must, if you own a Canon PowerShot. If you own a Canon PowerShot digital camara this item is a must. Power consumption is quite high in this devices, specially if you like to go on a field trip with it. Charger is quite fast (4 hours for the package). Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery definitively improves the camera's shooting time frame. Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery s good advice to always have a spare battery to avoid missing those irrecuperable moments.
On the other hand, I tried other rechargeable batteries but they didn't fit the holes of the camera. Canon's batteries cost a little more than other brands. Other chargers do work faster. However, Canon's dedicated batteries do have an impact in the camera's performance.
Hope this helps.
Great Product. I recently bought a Canon S3 IS camera and was pleased to note that Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery uses AA batteries rather than the costly rechargeable batteries I had in my Canon G2 (about $50 per). I didn't however want to go to the expense and bother of constantly having to replace AA batteries. I was delighted to find this rechargeable option and purchased. To date, Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery works great. I can use rechargeable batteries most of the time and have non-rechargeable batteries for emergencies (e.g., trips) Great find and purchase. Good value

I like Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera .
Move Up in Consumer DSLR Performance. After two very happy years using the CANON 350D/XT DSLR, I decided to upgrade to the XSi/450D based on 1) Addition of more professional-level spot metering/focusing offering, 2) Increase to 12 MP resolution and 3) The improved standard IS 18-55 kit lens. In all regards, I'm exceptionally pleased with the new Canon. I was able to tell the kit lens improvement and the impact of Image Stabilization from the first time I used it, as Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera allows me to work in lower light and delivers clearer photograhs in every situation. The spot metering works very well, as does the increase in point-of-focus. I can definately see the increased resolution in my cropped enlargements, as well. The one feature I don't use (live view) could be a big 'plus' to people who prefer not to use viewfinders, but again, it's not something I use. Battery life (I use an external 430EX flash for most shots) has been far-above Canon's listed number; I often get over 800 shots on a battery using AF and IS. I've used the camera with my Sigma DC and DG lenses with no problems noted at all, although my Sunpak flash that works perfectly TTL with the 350D will not function with the XSi.
Excellent quality & price. I waited for months debating on whether to go ahead and purchase the Canon 40D or hold out for the new XSi. I am thrilled that I waited on the XSi. The quality is excellent! I purchased the XSi with the 18-55mm IS lens. The lens is a good walk around lens but I also purchased the 50mm 1.8 and the Sigma 70-300mm zoom. I tend to the leave the Sigma on more than any.
The XSi has nearly all the features of the 40d at a fraction of the cost. It's features are definitely well above the XTi and totally worth the upgrade. The 3" LCD screen is great for the live view shooting or reviewing. The buttons are placed great and it's very easy to navigate.
The body itself is not as heavy as the 40d but also doesn't feel cheap and weak. It's a huge step up from my Canon S3 IS, however, I still love that camera and all it's power too.
I have used the camera in numerous situations already and Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera prevails in all. Of course as with most, Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera does extremely well outdoors in light. Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera also exceeded my expectations indoors in low light. Even when I have had to bump the ISO to 800 or 1600, Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera performs wonderfully and there is very little noticeable noise. With my former cameras, I was never able to use high ISO settings because they were too noisy to fix with post processing. With the XSi, there is very little if any post processing work needed on the high ISO shots. It's wonderful for low light situations when you don't want that deer in the headlights flash look!
All in all, the XSi was totally worth the wait and the savings. The XSi is a fraction of the cost of the 40D and yet has nearly if not all the pluses of the 40D. I'd definitely recommend anyone debating between the two to go ahead and go with the XSi body and save your money for good lenses.

Good batteries, BUT get very HOT when charging.. These batteries are perfect for my Canon A620, what I don't like, is the fact they get so VERY HOT when they're charging that I can't hold them in my hand, nor install them in my camera until they cool down first.
I called Canon and asked them why Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery happens, and I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone.
Excellent, but slow to charge. I've owned my Canon camera and this charger and battery combo for several years now. I don't use the camera very frequently, but when I do, I use Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery a lot (on vacation, at a family event) and wind up taking around one-hundred pictures or so with many of them using the flash.
These batteries are always ready to go, even if they have been sitting in the camera for months. They never run down on me during use. The charger is only a little larger than the batteries themselves and plugs directly into the wall socket (no "wall wart" or power cord needed). The prongs for the power plug fold into the charger so Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery packs down to a very small package, which means you'll probably bring Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery with you on vacation and you'll have Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery when you need it.
The only drawback I would say is that the charger is of the "charge them overnight" variety. It's not fast, but Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery does the job. As long as you aren't looking for a quick charger, I'd recommend this one.
Great battery pack!. Canon CBK4-300 Rechargeable Battery is an ideal choice for the batteries for the Canon digital cameras.
Must buy for all.

Great camera!. What a great camera! I've been wanting the digital rebel for a while now and I am so pleased that I waited to get this model. Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP takes great photos and is easy to use in the auto mode. I can't wait to try all of the different manual settings to improve my photos...And I love that this model uses the SD cards, so much better in my opinion that the larger compact flash cards. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to take great pics!
My first DSLR. This is my first DSLR, so I'm not expert. But Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP took really good pictures for me. I took some bad pictures too because I don't what what I'm doing. But one time a stranger gave me some hints on setting the shutter speed etc for the sporting event that we were in and all the pictures turned out great.
You get what you pay for. Canon has always been the leading brand when Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP comes to perfection mostly in lens and optics. Police/federal agencies rely on accurate, vivid, perfect picture when their whole department depend on the most. So, they go with certain brand that they know for sure will get the job done. Its simply Canon. XSi is pretty good for starter SLR folks. Its light weight but little bulky feel to it. Wish they had more lenses for this model.

Great camera for the price. This is a great camera, I mean for 150 something dollars this is an awesome deal. The package and shipping was excellent. Once I opened the product I fell in love with it. The camera feels strong (not cheap), canon powershot a480 10 mp has great functions and the pictures have a very good quality. I think you get everything you pay for and little more!!! If you have a doubt about this camera, forget about it... Strongly Recommend... The lens error problem is for real..... I got this camera for my daughter (in pink of course) in mid-April. She loves canon powershot a480 10 mp (size, pictures, etc.) but after less than three months canon powershot a480 10 mp will only flash "lense error, restart" when it's turned on. Too late to return to Amazon. :( On the bright side, a trip to Canon's website support section got me through to a Repair Request Confirmation. Hopefully, this will just cost me postage to Elk Grove Village, IL. Suspiciously, Canon doesn't list this model on their repair request input screen... makes you wonder if they're trying to discourage the onslaught of these that they're getting back for repair. Here's hoping Canon will stand behind this little jewel. If I had canon powershot a480 10 mp to do over I'd think twice.... Canon at the inauguration. The Canon PowerShot SD1100IS is a great, easy to use camera. canon powershot a480 10 mp takes quality pictures and is very easy to operate. Battery charging is a nice feature and seems to last a long time. Downloading photos with the software was not as easy as my other Canon was though. I'm hoping canon powershot a480 10 mp was just the first time using the software that was a hassle and from now on canon powershot a480 10 mp will work like my other Canon PowerShot does.

Must have.... If you are planing on taking that camera on vacation you need another battery and this thing is cheap enough to make the decision a no brainer!
You know Canon NB-7L Battery is true! You will get to having SO MUCH FUN and forget that your camera has been working from sun up to sun down and now you have no photos of you and that special someone dancing at the cantina! You have no pictures of the lightshow, fireworks or anything else that happened after 9:34pm. The moment that your camera died!
Charge both batteries, keep one in the case and one in the camera. Problem solved!
Canon NB-5L Battery works great. The Canon NB-5L Battery purchased is OEM. The capacity is 1120mAh. Last a long time using my SD800 IS camera. I've taken about 300 shots (about 1/3 with flash) before having to recharge the battery. It's good to have an extra battery anyway and because it's small, having an extra battery in the pocket is not a problem. I like Canon NB-7L Battery .
Great Battery. Well, this is a battery after all... there's not much to say. I bought Canon NB-7L Battery as a backup battery, so I always have a charged battery on hand. A good idea so you never miss a shot.
It's great quality... charges super fast - 2 hours. And I think you have to use Canon only batteries if you don't want to void your warranty.

Great, flexible small digital camera with accessory lenses. After having been involved in high resolution 35 mm and high 8 video photography, using multiple lenses while traveling the world, my wife rebelled and insisted that I not take up so much space with my photo equipment.
The Sony Cybershot DSCW200 12.1MP Digital Camera with
Sony VAD-WD Lens and Filter Adaptor allowing use of both wide angle and tele-conversion lenses has proven a good compromise.
I especially enjoy the Extra High Sensitivity (ISO6400) for low light photography without using a flash. canon powershot sd780is 12.1 mp has been very useful for candid photography.
I have captured close-ups of many birds and wide angle shots of Mexico's famed Copper Canyon.
The camera offers many great compromises. canon powershot sd780is 12.1 mp is not as flexible as some 35 mm cameras, as there is some shutter lag after having taken a photo. This can be some what frustrating at a sports event.
On the other hand canon powershot sd780is 12.1 mp is really a blessing to be able to suddenly switch over to capture VGA quality video at 30 frames / second to record video of an event, such as natives dancing to the music played on their handcrafted musical instruments.
I would have preferred that the polaroid lens attached on the outside of the converter lenses, rather than inbetween the lens adapter and the converter lens, as the rotation of this lens makes canon powershot sd780is 12.1 mp very easy to loose the attached converter lens. My fingers are a little too large to comfortably manage the adjustment of the polarizing lens and the wide angle converter lens.
In summary, because of its small size, 12.1 mega pixel resolution,
VGA video capability, face detection, Super SteadyShot(R) image stabilization and the numerous other features enabling great photo flexibility in a very small package, I can only say, BRAVO SONY!
Yes, there are larger camera systems that can beat this camera in certain situations, but I know of no other that can do all this one can in such a tiny package. You can get memory cards that can hold up to 8 mega pixels of digital images!
I did not have to worry about frequently down loading the hundreds of images taken in Mexico's Copper Canyon and of the indigenous colorful tribal people there, as others using digital cameras were forced to do.
This camera system has been on several safaris with me and is ready to go again.
Having purchased an extra battery has enabled me to always have a charged one on hand.
The price of the camera is now less than $260!
Hello. Hello, the Camera digital Sony Cybershot DSCW200 is excellent and with good resolution. Is not Touch panel I like canon powershot sd780is 12.1 mp .
Overall pleased with the camera. This is a nice camera for what I wanted canon powershot sd780is 12.1 mp for. canon powershot sd780is 12.1 mp was to replace my Sony DSC-P100 Cybershot. (I was having cord issues with it, but didn't want to replace the cord and then find out that something was wrong with the camera. Oh, well.) There's no cord with this DSC-W200 to keep the camera hooked up to in order to keep canon powershot sd780is 12.1 mp charged. To be safe, you need an extra battery. canon powershot sd780is 12.1 mp comes with only one. There is NO MEMORY CARD in it, other than the 31-whatever internal memory. I don't think the specs were clear enough about that. So, separately, I had to order a memory card and another battery, which cost extra s/h. The write-up on Amazon didn't make that "loud and clear" to me.

By far, the best camera I've ever bought (opinion after 2 months of heavy use). First of all, let me address one of the major complaints about this camera: low light AF hunting. I've never had a digital camera that did NOT have trouble getting its focus in low light. The Canon XTi has the problem, my Minolta digital had the problem and, from what I've read the Olympus E510 and Nikon D60 also have that problem. But with the P5100 there are ways around Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP using the landscape setting.
The other problem, much discussed, is the noise factor. If you are seriously thinking about this camera and like low light photography, as I do, then I would suggest you go to this Flickr link and have a look at how capable the P5100 truly is in low light situations. Noise is not a factor if the settings are correct.
I bought this looking for a camera capable of doing film-like work (or as close as possible)with a very small body. That does not mean I am necessarily looking for razor-sharp resolution (though you do get that with this fine Nikkor lens). I wanted a certain "look" to the photographs that this camera can indeed produce.
No RAW? Who cares! I don't do PS anyway and would rather have an excellent camera that takes great photographs in the first place and doesn't require the use of RAW and hours slaving away over Photo Shop rebuilding a flawed photograph piece by piece. No thank you. If that appeals to you then get the G9 or G10, but don't try to put Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP in your pocket! But if you want what is, IMHO, a better camera and lens to use on site and get Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP right the first time, on location, then this is a better choice. Have a look at this link to see the P5100's low light capability and film-like qualities: http://www.flickr.com/photos/atemzeit/2312242297/
or this:
www.flickr.com/photos/atemzeit/276954369/sizes/o/in/set-72157594379505014/
Or here to see its beautiful bokeh: http://www.flickr.com/photos/soul-san/2585370492/
And bear in mind that this camera does this with 12.1 pixels on a tiny little sensor. How? The secret is the custom application of the EXPEED digital image processing engine. Something the G9 and G10 don't have. You get the advantages of a huge pixel count (on a small sensor) but without the excessive noise found on cameras not possessing such a capable processing engine. And, regarding the G9 and G10, not only is this camera much smaller but the build is far better and Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP has a hard substantial feel, thanks in part to the magnesium body.
If you want to reduce the pixel count on your sensor to increase the dynamic range this camera can do that. Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP can be reduced to 8M, 5M, 3M, 2M or 1M. Also, how many digital cameras these days offer ISO settings of 64 and 100? This one does.
But, for me, all Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP boils down to is this: is this camera able to deliver the look you are searching for or not? If you like what you see when you brouse Flickr then give Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP a try. If you don't like what you see, give Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP a pass. The proof is in the pudding and you can read ten different reviews and everyone says something different. So just go by the results you can see on the net.
This review is my opinion only and, as I said, you can certainly find people who do not agree with me about this. I read many reviews and finally just decided to peruse Flickr to see actual results. So don't take my word for it, look for yourself.
I like my P5000 very much, thus I would recommend the P5100. First let me tell you what to buy with the camera. 1) the UR- E20 adapter tube. You can leave Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP on all the time as protection and for extra finger grip, I do. Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP weighs next to nothing 2) the wide angle converter lens, also very small gizmo, another hundred dollars but gives you a wide view of 24mm equivalent and the menu option allows the camera to correct some barrel distortion inherent in this type optic.Works pretty darn good except at extreme edges 3)Nikon's SB400 flash, which is a marvel. Small, light, dedicated to the system and has a swivel flash tube up front for bounce, unusual in anything this small and two celled. Flash uses two AA size standard power and delivers a lot more than the built in body flash pintsize runt, rechargeables are better natch. And if you get the flash you prolong the camera batter,a nice bonus and less less redeye4) a spare Li-Ion battery by Nikon another mere 20 bucks or so.Fast 2 hour charge will do it. Now this whole kit and kaboodle will run the tab up a bit more than you expected, but you will get shots that are equal or better than a heavy SLR with a heavy zoom lens.I do not joke. The camera's Program mode is one of the better ones out there. Meaning I trust Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP a lot.
Some professional reviewers tend to poke away at this camera's lack of zip to them, and forget Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP is powered by a minute size battery, about the size of a slice of cheddar on a buffet table:-). Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP can't do burst shots and start up in a microsecond, true. They are not accepting Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP for what Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP delivers at this price. What else is out there but heavier and pricier in this category I mean.
The lens will not open as wide at tele end as an indoor shooter would want without flash, and is not the speediest performer out there overall. BUT FAST ENOUGH if you pre- focus, and why not prefocus I say...it tells you that the lens has found its target. Nikon has done a good job on this product and you just can't go wrong at the price. I am really falling for this little fellow as a grab and go item. The LCD is hard to see outdoors except for the histogram playback. Indoors Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP is a delight to see. You may also want to pick up a wrist lanyard vs the neck strap which comes with it. Your preference.Battery delivers plenty juice for a day of reasonable shooting even with LCD viewing. When I go next trip to the Serengeti ,well, I take a generator and power inverter (:-), or maybe just a car battery adapter. I carry all this kit,if you are interested, in one half of a Mountainsmith Aurora II Camera Bum Bag/ Lumbar Pack with room for trail mix and cellphone..
Why schlep heavy stuff on a vacation? Enjoy.
Disappointed with the Nikon Coolpix P5100. Slow performer and Lens Error. Has anyone else experienced the "LENS ERROR" problem? Does anyone else agree with me that this camera has had way too many problems?
I was a bit disappointed with the Nikon Coolpix P5100. The camera was obviously designed to compete in a specific digital camera class - hi-res, feature-rich, and capable P&S digicams for photography enthusiasts. The P5100 is very user friendly and Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP consistently delivers good static images. It's an excellent choice for casual photographers who want a camera that's compact enough to drop in a pocket and take along everywhere they go, tough enough to stand up to the rigors of modern life, and cheap enough to be competitive. The P5100's tough as nails magnesium alloy body, nifty rubber clad hand-grip, logical control array, optical viewfinder, hot shoe for i-TTL Nikon Speedlights, and superb ergonomics make this camera an outstanding camera choice for casual shooters, but it's slowness, tendency to clip highlights, and noisy high ISO shots/poor low light performance will hurt its reputation with photography enthusiasts. The P5100's price and features are clearly competitive with the Canon Powershot A650 IS, but its performance just as clearly isn't.
Pros:
User friendly
Compact and lightweight
2.5" LCD screen
Nice ergonomics
Cons:
Slow
Tendency to clip highlights
Poor low-light performance

Destined to be a legend. I've owned around a dozen digital cameras over the years and have always been in search of the Holy Grail of image quality. I finally found Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP 2 years ago with the Canon EOS 5D, a full-frame 12.3 megapixel DSLR. Recently, I decided to see if I could find a compact that even came close to the 5D. Well, guess what? Here Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP is. Aside from the 5D, this is the best camera I have ever used. Hands down the image quality is as superb as Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP comes...smooth, crisp, well exposed, and clean. I now have a take-anywhere to just throw in my pocket when the 5D would be overkill. Trust me when I say that this camera will be a legend. Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP is that good. In fact, I'll likely pick up another one when its succcesor comes out and the price drops.
UPDATE: After using my SD 950 IS for few weeks, Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP is clearly not anything near a Canon 5D. Although there are a lot of pixels, the 950's resolving power simply can't compete with a Canon L-class lens. No surprise of course but don't expect pro quality just because you have 12 megapixels. I still love the SD 950 IS for what Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP is but make no mistake about what Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP isn't.
A happy customer. Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP is the third Cannon I've bought over the years, and I'm very pleased with it, as always.
Great Camera!. This is a great camera. Lots of options and easy to use. The battery lasts a long time before needing charged and charges in just a couple of hours. I went on a 5 day trip and only needed to charge Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP one time. The only thing that I've had any kind of issue with is the battery/card cover door. Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP is located on the bottom of the camera and seems to be easily dislodged. Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP hasn't caused any problems though because Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP is on a hinge.

Great camera. I love this camera. Canon A1000IS 10MP Purple is very user friendly. I like to take pictures of my grandchildren and this camera takes great photos. I am so pleased with Canon that I decided to try one of their printers and, so far, I am very pleased.
Lens Error...new camera. I got the Canon A1000IS camera for Christmas 2008...along with the case from Canon...to be sure Canon A1000IS 10MP Purple was protected. I took a few photos around Christmas and in January, mostly to learn how to work the camera. Then in early March I left for a 3 week vacation to South Africa. After shooting, perhaps, 400 photos at 10mp the lens error occurred and the carmera became unusable. None of the (non-violent) solutions proposed on the WEB helped so here I am on top of Table Mountain without a working camera. Let's just say I'm not totally happy with this purchase.
Excellent Camera. This camera takes excellent pictures. I particularly like the Optical Image Stabalization, Motion sensor, and face recognition. I only make 4 X 6 prints. So far no problems. The pet/children mode does a good job of stopping action.
I've used the optical viewfinder a couple of times. Canon A1000IS 10MP Purple doesn't show 100% of the picture, but Canon A1000IS 10MP Purple sure makes a difference in extreme sunlight.
Sometimes Canon A1000IS 10MP Purple is necessary indoors to increase the ISO in order to increase the flash distance (easily done with a button). I still get great pictures. I know some reviewers blow the pictures up and indicate the noise in the picture. It's just not evident in normal picture prints. I'm sure there would be obvious noise if I was using high ISOs. Battery life is great also. I use Lithium AAs. They last so long there is no need to use recharageable batteries.
The only thing I definately miss is a button to delete "ALL" pictures. There's a button for individual deleting, but you have to use the menu to detete all. I guess you could look at Canon A1000IS 10MP Purple as a safety feature, making Canon A1000IS 10MP Purple hard to accidentially delete all your pictures.
There is a lack of manaul controls, but I never used the manual controls in my prior cameras.
The camera size will fit into a pocket, even though I prefer using a case that fits on my belt. I would highly recommend this camera to others.

Camera lens fails to retract. Purchased to take on trip to australia resolution seemed good after 900 photos camera suddenly stopped working.changed batteries& that wasnt the problem. For first 3 weeks Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver was terrific;tho noticed Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver did not seem as tightly sealed on sides as my previous canon elph. At least Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver broke during final week of trip and Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver appears completely broken googled & found on steves digicam reviews numerous others with exact same experience of lens and camera suddenly stopping.monday will contact canon but from other users Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver sounds as if canon blames this on humidity!!!!
My dslr is a canon& this is really too bad.fortunately the sd card seems fine obviously more robust than the camera...Again i was ready to give this a great review until Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver suddenly stopped working a few days ago..
Powerful Little Gem. I got the early version of this camera in Japan, sold as the IXY 3000 IS and am head over heels in love; this replaces an SD800IS which was a long time favorite. The new one got my attention for the whopping 14.7 MP as I have been using this for taking panoramas on a GigaPan rig - [...]-- and more pixels count for much there. Plus there is the full manual (focus and exposure modes). And then there was the thrill of getting a new camera a few weeks before Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver was available in the US.
Mine is set up with an 8GB SD HC card, which feels infinite.
I've been very happy with the quality, and I do a lot of macro shots, posting hundreds on my flickr site [...]
The new QuickShot mode is nice- to shoot through viewfinder where you want the quickest response time. And a bonus is a long overlooked feature- an on screen battery level indicator. There is a small button where you can instantly go to view mode, rather than flipping the shooting mode. Face focussing is very handy. Video quality is superb. Having the camera stitch mode (used for getting good overlap for single row panoramas) on the presets selection is great. And w00t! Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver uses the same NB-5L battery, so I now have more spares.
My negatives are minor- the black style is slick, but the plastic shell feels a little cheap/flimsy, but the camera is sturdy. My biggest gripe is the latch on the battery/SD card compartment comes open easily in your bag or your pocket; the one on the SD800 never popped open on its own. The latch for the USB dock too is odd, Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver is hard to figure out where the hinge part is, and I always feel like I am going to do Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver wrong and break Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver off.
Spinning the lower selection wheel takes some dexterity; so setting the aperture and f/stops in manual mode is going to take some time to be a smooth process.
I've never bought a camera just because Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver has a large resolution, but I am shooting 4416x3312, better than my first generation Digital Rebel.
I am in love with this little camera!
GREAT CAMERA. I've used Canon Powershot SD990IS 14.7MP Silver for a month and couldn't be happier!!!

Love Canon PowerShot SD770 IS 10MP Silver camera. Im a point and shoot beginner...but do know what a clean crisp picture should look like on a digital camera..and so far Canon PowerShot SD770 IS 10MP Silver camera delivers.
Colors come out well..the camera is a good size..has a sturdy feel and has just about everything one would need in order to take a good picture as their are alot of options which allow you to take the kind of picture you need in any particular siituation. For me an overall good buy.
Exellent. I purchese Canon PowerShot SD770 IS 10MP Silver camara for my enlaw for christmas and she love it. I'm happy for her and I love price and the shipping was fast! thank you!
canon review. very satisfied with the product...just wish there was a way to manually turn the flash on...only settings Canon PowerShot SD770 IS 10MP Silver has is off and auto.

Best Price- anywhere, with Free shipping too!. My mom loved this camera that I got her for Christmas. Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Silver is amazing-- has great technical features and was the cheapest on amazon of any place I searched.
Nice Camera. I would rather see the worthiness of the product I bought. The money I paid and the quality of product. So , I never expect to have $1000-camera quality from the machine I paid around $200. Comparing apples to apples.
So, Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Digital Camera is in that sense much better then the cameras in that range.
Nice looking, good quality point-and-shoot type camera which is good/fast/easy for family use.
I recommend Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Silver for the people who are not professional photography and would not want Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Silver miss the beauty of life.
Canon make another winner.. I was looking for an upgrade to my previous camera, the Canon Powershot A75, which had served me extremely well over 4 years. I purchased an Olympus camera, which despite its high price, I found in my opinion terrible in comparison to my old Canon.
As the camera was for our honeymoon, I decided to buy another camera. Unfortunately I purchased the Olympus online at a store that does not offer refunds or exchange on poor choice. Expensive lesson learned there.
I purchased the Canon SX110IS from a bricks and mortar store with refund/exchange policy, for peace of mind. Just days before I had recommended friends buy a Canon, and they bought this camera, and when I saw their shots, I knew this was the camera for me.
Straight away I felt so relieved and happy that I had purchased another Canon. Beautiful shots even on Auto and Easy modes, with lots of other modes and settings to play around with if you wish.
The most important thing about a camera to me is that Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Silver takes great pictures on Auto - as I dont like to spend much time playing around, I just like to have fun snapping.
The canon has the same size LCD as the Olympus, but the quality of the pixels is MUCH better, and clearer.
Image Stabiliser is excellent, (it stabilises the LENS, not the camera body like other cameras),sometimes my hands get shaky with some pictures, but they still come out absolutely beautifully.
The colour is amazing, pictures are crisp and sharp, even in low light. I took pictures in a completely dark room and they came out great. I don't mind waiting for the flash to recharge,it does not let you take pictures till Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Silver is recharged. In the Olympus I erroneously bought, you had no idea whether the flash was charged or still charging, so you could make the mistake of taking shots too quickly in low light.
The camera body feels very sturdy in your hands and you can easily grip it, your hand can wrap around where you see the silver bit, near the words PowerShot SX110. This is in contrast to slimline cameras that probably look prettier this camera. I'd rather have sturdy, especially with such a big lens and zoom. I was, however, surprised when I saw the camera "in the flesh" Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Silver is a lot smaller than I imagined.
Don't worry about lifting the flash (Where canon is written), it's not a bother at all, and the camera (at least in Auto and Easy mode) suggests you lift the flash when Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Silver deems Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Silver appropriate. If you lift Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Silver and have the flash on auto, Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Silver wont fire unless required. I just lift the flash whenever I take pictures, but Canon Powershot SX110IS 9MP Silver will only fire when needed.
Canon have improved their picture program for the computer too, but some people may not think the program gives you enough to play around with and may seek other programs.
One thing that i think would be neat would be the ability to change pictures to black and white or sepia on the camera. That is about the only thing that Olympus did that the Canon didn't do thousands of times better.
Overall, I think the camera's brilliant. I will never buy anything but Canon again.

This camera is awesome!. I am by no means a camera expert, I do not know how the majority of the functions work on this camera - but I will say Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical takes outstanding photos. There is no blurring even at the tighest zoom. The image stabilizer works superb. I mostly take photos of the kids and I have not had any problem with shutter speed or the time between taking pictures. I had a Canon prior to this and this one is much better. I am very happy with my camera!
Nice camera but just to slow.. I purchased this camera and had Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical for a very short time before I sent Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical back for a refund. This camera has a really nice set up like all the rest of the A Series. I had problems with two things. The first being the amount of time between pictures. When I took a picture the screen would show the picture you took (I had Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical set on 2 sec reveal) and then the screen would go black until the next picture could be taken (took quit a few seconds to clear). This was very annoying especially with a fast pet. I thought Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical might be the type of SD card but Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical wasn't. I tried 2 different kinds, the SanDisk SDHC Card and the SanDisk Extreme III SDHC Card. The Extreme III did not help the in between shots get any faster on this camera. Now the camera takes great pictures and has a really easy set up so if the time between shots doesn't bother you then this may be a good camera for you. The second problem I had was the LCD screen was fuzzy when there wasn't a lot of light in the room. The minute you went into a room with a lot of lights on the screen cleared up. I think this may have been a defect with the camera I got, but I am not completely sure that other A2000IS cameras do not do this. The picture would take normal Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical was just a fuzzy screen while trying to take a picture. That made Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical harder to see if everyone was smiling at the same time. I gave this camera 3 stars because I think Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical can be a good camera. I was just expecting more for the price and for Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical being a Canon. The whole reason for buying this camera was to upgrade from a Canon A 95. I wanted to get a faster time between shots and a larger LCD screen to view pictures on. This camera ended up being a downgrade from our old camera. Bottom line I returned the camera for a full refund (Amazon honored with no problems) and purchased an Olympus Stylus 1010 and I am loving it. Good luck with your camera search.
Well Suited For Me !. This is my second digital camera and I love Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical so far. My uses for this camera are for three main reasons: 1. To take pictures of my grandchildren, (close ups are great!) 2. for uploading and posting my fiber art, on my website, bertrandland.com and 3. to take nature pictures as a hobby. The screen is nice and large. I have to be careful not to put a fingerprint on the screen when I pick Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical up, however, since I like to use my tri-pod, this does not happen often. Even if Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical does, Canon A2000IS 10MP 6x Optical wipes off easily. I still have more to discover about this camera and keep my book handy. I really do like it.
